Schedules and activities vary for each classroom based on age, but all preschool mornings focus on the same basic activities- opportunities for children to play with peers, use their imaginations, listen to and discuss books, move their bodies, create things, explore and problem solve, gain independence, and learn the social skills needed to be a good friend to others.
Our school day begins at 9:00 each morning. Parents can either walk their children into the building or can take advantage of our car drop off line where a teacher will walk a child from their car to their classroom. In addition to the many fun activities planned for the class each day, all classes pause daily for a snack and gross motor play either outside on the playground or inside in our large indoor recess area. The school day ends at noon, with the exception of our full day pre-K class. For students desiring an extended school day, parents are invited to sign up for “Lunch Bunch” to lengthen their child’s school day by two hours.

We follow a traditional school year calendar, closely following the Webster Groves School District calendar for breaks. Back to school events are the last week of August and the first day of school is the Tuesday after Labor Day. Our school year concludes in the middle of May.

Our preschool is a ministry of the church and we love being housed in the education wing of their church building. Our preschool students have monthly Chapel Time with Pastor Ali. All of our teachers receive CPR, First Aid, and Safe Gatherings training and have had background checks. Our school is inspected annually by the local and state health and fire departments to insure proper safety standards. We practice tornado drills and fire drills. The building is locked throughout the school day and our playground is fully fenced in. Finally, for the safety of all, we are a nut-free environment.

Our discipline approach is centered on positive guidance and redirection. We encourage children to make good choices by modeling appropriate behavior, offering gentle reminders, and redirecting challenging behaviors in a calm and caring way. Our goal is to help children develop confidence, self regulation, and kindness while feeling safe, supportive, and respected.
